Almost none have heard of the Seohaerang — the 173-kilometre coastal walk that threads through the tidal flats, salt fields, fishing villages, and pine-covered headlands of Korea's West Sea shore. That asymmetry has nothing to do with quality and everything to do with access. The Seohaerang runs roughly between Taean in South Chungcheong Province and Buan in North Jeolla Province, skirting the edge of one of the largest tidal-flat ecosystems on the planet.
